Open Water Swim Training w/ Colchester Parks & Recreation
Are you training for the Colchester Triathlon, but a little nervous about the swim leg? Perhaps you're a little rusty on your open water technique? Join Bayside Beach lifeguards for three consecutive mornings of swim practice at Bayside Beach. We'll discuss stroke techniques, the difference between open water swimming and pool swimming, and how to pace yourself to complete the 500m swim of the Tri. Gain an edge on the competition and settle your fears about open water. Note that the exact course of the race will NOT be set up on these mornings, and full distance is not guaranteed during the program. This is an opportunity to swim in open water with lifeguard oversight. Swimmers will be supervised by two certified lifeguards during the program.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Racers ages 12 - 17 must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered and participating in the program.
